Everyone learns in a different way — but facts are, no one really loves to read a long, wordy user manual to find out how the thing that they just bought actually works.
With this in mind, I created a graphical "user guide" redesign for the Battery-Biz product manuals, achieving three goals: First, it clearly explained safe operation. Second, it still contained enough nerdy stuff to meet the mandates of critical compliance organizations. Third, (my favorite reason), it kept people happy, helping to cut the number of customer service calls and returns by over fifty percent.
